Saturday mornings shouldn’t be for sleeping in!

On a sunny August Saturday morning in the beachside suburb of Somerton Park, we teamed up with the crew from Adidas to host one of our much-loved (and famously sweaty) TWL Training Clubs — this time at FTHiit, one of Adelaide’s premier training facilities.

If you haven’t been through the doors yet, FTHiit is worth the trip on its own: state-of-the-art equipment in a slick, modern space, complete with two saunas and recovery boots for when the work is done. It’s the kind of gym that makes you want to train harder just by walking in.

Under the watchful eye of FTHiit founder Lianca, more than 30 Hybrid athletes were put through their paces — decked out in the latest Adidas Dropset trainers and a heap of TWL kit. The session packed running, rowing, lunges, cycling, sled pushes, wall balls and burpees into one relentless 30-minute hit-out, and it didn’t take long for things to get competitive. Or sweaty. Mostly both.

The best part of any Training Club, though, is what happens when the clock stops. Bobby’s Coffee was on site pouring post-workout brews, and the recovery chat flowed as freely as the caffeine — new faces, familiar ones, and everyone comparing notes on which station hurt the most (the sled, obviously).

If you’ve been thinking about getting into Hybrid training, it’s hard to go past FTHiit — Lianca and the team will look after you from session one. And if your current trainers aren’t keeping up, the Adidas Dropset is built exactly for this style of work: stable under the bar, responsive when the running starts.

Thanks to Adidas for coming along for the ride, and to FTHiit for turning the volume up on a Saturday morning. Keep an eye on our socials — the next TWL Training Club is never far away, and you’re invited.

If you are looking to get into Hybrid training, its hard to go past FTHiit and if you are after some comfortable shoes to keep you performing at your best, the Adidas Elite Pro trainers are a great choice!
