There’s something special about a run club at 6am. On a cool August Friday morning, TWL took over the Stride Society Run Club on Melbourne Street and Adelaide showed up for it!

Stride Society’s Friday run usually draws 20–30 of Adelaide’s most passionate, young runners. This time, more than 70 laced up in the dark and rolled out at 6am sharp for a brisk lap of North Adelaide. Watching that pack stream down Melbourne Street before the city had properly woken up is exactly why we do these things.
It was also the perfect morning to launch two new pieces. The Run, Move, Lift T-shirt made its debut on the very run it was built for, and the new TWL Interval Jacket got a proper cold-weather shakedown — light enough to move in, warm enough that a single-digit start didn’t bite. If you’ve been looking for the layer that gets you out the door on winter mornings, this is it.

The route itself was a runner’s dream for a Friday: an easy, mostly flat 4.7km loop down Melbourne Street, along North Terrace, around the Parklands and back to Heat Cafe. Quick enough to fit before work, social enough that nobody ran it alone.
And then, the real reason run clubs exist: coffees, matchas and foam drinks all round, plenty of high fives, and a stack of selfies in front of a sunrise that turned it on for us. New PBs are great; new mates are better.

Massive thanks to the amazing crew at Stride Society for having us — the energy you’ve built on Melbourne Street is something else. If you want in on the next one (and trust us, you do), follow them at @stridesociety.adl and just show up. Everyone’s welcome, every pace counts.
Keep an eye out — this won’t be the last time you see TWL out on a brisk Friday morning.
