Pat Barber Knows How to Keep His Kids Happy

Pat Barber. It may or may not be a name you’ve heard of. The CrossFit athlete and coach is known not just for his skill in the gym, but also for his adorable sons. His Instagram page is equal parts WOD and epic cuteness, with family captures scattered throughout. But one video he posted in particular has gone viral, and you’ll want to watch it a million times over.

Presumably to keep his son busy and entertained while he got his own workout in, Barber created a homemade baby bouncer that puts all other baby bouncers to shame. By suspending his child from a band and putting a step and mat just under his tiny feet, the inventive dad made what has to be the coolest toy for kids ever. And we’d guess his son agrees. Behold.

If we’re being honest with ourselves here, this would be a blast even for a grown adult.

Trouble came knocking, though, when the boy’s little brother came along and knocked the mat out from under his feet. That’s siblings for you. Barber knew how to handle it, though. Big bro got his own band to bounce from, and all was peaceful once again.

This isn’t the first cameo the little ones have made on their dad’s Instagram page. Barber often shares the adventures they have together, at home, at the gym and beyond.

In fact, the makeshift bouncers have even made an appearance before.

His son’s giggles of joy have undoubtedly contributed to the recent video’s popularity. You can’t watch it and not be happy. It just goes to show that when it comes to the world of fitness and CrossFit, there really is a place for everyone, even the little guys.
