The 2026 CrossFit Games run from 22–26 July in San Jose, California, and this year there’s a genuine reason for Aussies to be excited beyond the competition itself: the time difference works in our favour. While fans in California are settling in for late-afternoon and evening sessions, we get to watch the fittest athletes on earth over breakfast. Here’s exactly how — and when — to tune in.
Where to watch
The big change for 2026 is that FloSports is the exclusive global media partner, so FloElite (via the FloSports app) is the home of full live streaming across every division. You can stream or cast from desktop, mobile or TV, with apps now on Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV and Chromecast.
The good news for casual fans: a large share of coverage stays free. Expect live and highlight content across YouTube, the CrossFit App and CrossFit’s social channels, so you can follow the marquee individual and team action without a subscription. If you want every event, the exclusive originals and the full archive, a FloElite subscription is the way to get it — otherwise, the free platforms will keep you well across the weekend. If you do go the subscription route, sign up a day early and test it on your TV so you’re not troubleshooting logins at 7am.
What you’ll be watching
This is a milestone edition — the 20th year of crowning the Fittest on Earth — and there’s a lot on. Coverage spans the elite Individuals and Teams plus the Masters, Teenage and Adaptive divisions, so there’s something for every kind of fan. The individual race is the headline: reigning champ Jayson Hopper is chasing a third straight title, with Australia’s own Ricky Garard among the men most likely to stop him, and a wide-open women’s field to follow too.
When to watch — Australia
San Jose runs on Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), which is 17 hours behind AEST. That means each afternoon session in California becomes the next morning here. Approximate start times for the individual competition on the east coast:
| Day | Start (AEST — Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane) |
|---|---|
| Day 1 — offsite (The Ranch) | Thu 23 July, ~9:00am |
| Day 2 — SAP Center | Sat 25 July, ~7:30am |
| Day 3 — SAP Center | Sun 26 July, ~9:00am |
| Finals — SAP Center | Mon 27 July, ~9:00am |
Not on the east coast? Adjust from AEST: Adelaide (ACST) is 30 minutes behind, so subtract half an hour. Perth (AWST) is two hours behind AEST, so a 9:00am east-coast start is around 7:00am for you. Whichever state you’re in, you’re looking at an easy morning watch rather than a 3am alarm — pour a coffee and settle in.
When to watch — rest of the world
Using the same afternoon San Jose sessions as a guide, a ~4:00pm PDT start lands at roughly:
- UK (BST): around midnight — a late-night watch, or catch the replay next morning.
- Central Europe (CEST): around 1:00am — replays are your friend.
- US East Coast (EDT): around 7:00pm — prime-time viewing.
- New Zealand (NZST): around 11:00am the next day — even better than Australia.
A few tips
Times are subject to change, so bookmark the official schedule at games.crossfit.com and double-check the night before. If you can’t catch a session live, the free replays across YouTube and the CrossFit App mean nothing is truly missed — just mute your notifications and steer clear of social media until you’ve watched, because Games results spread fast. Line up your streams before Wednesday, and enjoy the fittest week of the year.
